About Stutzman Electrical

What should I do? That was the question that began the journey to the foundation of Stutzman Electrical Services.

Growing up in the timber industry, I spent my childhood working alongside my father in the sawmill and logging business. By the age of 22, I found myself working as a counselor for troubled boys, and shortly after, I transitioned into construction. Over the next several years, I gained hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of general residential construction—from framing and siding to log cabin home building and window installation.

While I enjoyed the work, I realized I needed a career path that would provide stability and a deeper sense of purpose. That’s when I looked around and realized that electricity is the backbone of our modern world—without it, nothing works. That realization led me to pursue a career in electrical contracting.

In 2011, I began my apprenticeship in Saskatchewan, Canada, where I spent four years learning the trade and completing the necessary coursework to earn my Canadian Red Seal Endorsement.

In 2016, I moved back to Sarasota, FL, where I worked for a local electrical contractor, running and managing their service division. This experience helped me refine my skills and set the stage for the next chapter of my career.

In 2019, I achieved my Florida Electrical Contractor license and founded Stutzman Electrical Services with one simple goal in mind: to provide customers with the best possible service, rooted in trust, honesty, and integrity.

At Stutzman Electrical Services, we treat every project as if it were our own. We work hard to deliver solutions that are not only reliable but tailored to the specific needs of our customers. Whether it’s troubleshooting an issue, installing new systems, or upgrading existing ones, our focus is always on getting it done right the first time.

Integrity is at the heart of everything we do. I once had a conversation with the head of safety on a multi-billion-dollar project in Canada, where I shared my commitment to always being honest, owning my mistakes, and doing what’s necessary to make things right—even if it hurts in the short term. His response was that it was impossible to run a successful business with that level of integrity. I couldn’t disagree more. That conversation only strengthened my resolve to build Stutzman Electrical Services on the foundation of honesty, reliability, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right for our customers.
